Verify your F30 or F32 has NBT or CIC via iDrive Settings > System Information. CCC-equipped vehicles are not compatible.

Using plastic pry tools, remove trim panels surrounding the head unit. Place on microfiber cloth to protect finish.

Remove Torx screws and slide head unit forward. Leave all OEM connectors in place — do not disconnect.

Connect the included harness adapter between OEM head unit connectors and the CarPlay module. All connectors are keyed — never force.

Position the module in available space behind the head unit. Secure with included hardware. Ensure no cables contact moving parts.

06

Restore power and confirm CarPlay and Android Auto connect correctly before reinstalling any trim panels.

07

Refit all trim in reverse order. Press firmly at each clip until a positive snap is felt. Verify no panel gaps.
