Step 1

Raise vehicle on a professional lift or quality jack stands at BMW-specified lift points. Allow full exhaust cool-down before beginning.

Step 2

Disconnect O2 sensor connectors. Use O2 sensor socket to remove sensors from OEM downpipes. Apply penetrating oil if seized.

Step 3

Unbolt OEM downpipes at turbo outlet flange and mid-pipe junction. Apply penetrating oil to all fasteners 24 hours prior if accessible. Discard OEM gaskets.

04

Step 4

Position Bimmer Plug downpipes at turbo outlet. Install new gaskets. Hand-thread all fasteners before torquing to OEM spec to prevent cross-threading.

05

Step 5

Thread O2 sensors into pre-welded bungs on Bimmer Plug downpipes. Reconnect all harness connectors securely.

06

Step 6

Start vehicle and inspect all flanges for exhaust leaks. Note: catless downpipes will trigger O2-related CEL codes without a compatible ECU tune.
