Wipe down the mirror housing area with a clean microfiber cloth to remove any dust or debris that could interfere with clip seating.

Identify the clip release points around the perimeter of the factory mirror cap — typically located at the front edge and rear edge of the housing.

Using a plastic trim removal tool, gently pry the OEM mirror cap away from the mirror housing. Work around the perimeter carefully to release all clips without cracking the housing.

Hold the carbon fiber cap against the mirror housing without pressing it in. Confirm correct orientation — the wider edge typically faces rearward.

Align the carbon cap clip points precisely with the corresponding receptacles on the mirror housing. Start from one edge and work across.

Apply firm, even pressure across the cap until all clips click into place. You should feel and hear each clip engage.

Run your finger along all edges of the cap. There should be no gaps, no rocking, and no raised edges. The transition from cap to mirror body should read as factory-level.

Follow the same steps for the second mirror cap. The complete installation should take under 30 minutes total.
