Open trunk fully. Use a trim removal tool to unclip the side liner panel covering the taillight housing interior.

Press the release tab on the OEM wiring connector behind the taillight and disconnect.

Unscrew T20 Torx and 8mm bolts securing the taillight assembly — typically 2–3 per side.

Pull the assembly evenly outward from the body, working carefully to avoid tab stress.

Insert the Bimmer Plug clear taillight into the opening and align all mounting tabs. Press firmly until seated.

Torque T20 and 8mm fasteners snug — do not overtighten.

Reconnect the OEM plug until it audibly clicks. Test brake, reverse, and turn signal functions.

Clip the trunk liner back into position. Confirm flush fitment at panel gap before closing trunk.
