Open the trunk and remove the trunk liner panels to expose the taillight assembly mounting hardware and harness connectors.

Carefully disconnect the OEM wiring harness connector from the existing taillight assembly. Note connector orientation for reinstallation.

Remove T20 Torx mounting bolts securing the OEM taillight to the body. Carefully extract the assembly from the body opening.

Insert the CSL Style Laser Taillight assembly into the body opening. Align mounting bosses with factory holes and secure with mounting bolts.

Connect the OEM plug-and-play harness connector to the new taillight assembly. Ensure connector clicks fully into engagement.

Connect BMW-specific diagnostic tool (ISTA or equivalent) and code the laser light bar and sequential turn indicator functions per the coding guide.

Test brake lights, reverse lights, sequential turn indicators, and laser light bar. Confirm no fault codes are stored after coding.
