Installation Protocol

Step-by-step procedure

Open the trunk and locate the taillight access panel on the inner trunk liner on both sides.

Using plastic panel removal tools, carefully unclip the trunk liner panel on each side to access the taillight mounting hardware.

Unplug the OEM wiring harness connector from the taillight housing. Note the connector orientation before disconnecting.

Unscrew the Torx mounting fasteners holding the OEM unit. Carefully slide the taillight out of its mounting channel.

Align the CSL-style taillight into the mounting channel, seating all mounting posts correctly. Secure with Torx fasteners to OEM torque spec.

Plug the wiring harness into the new taillight connector. Confirm a firm click and correct orientation.

Reattach the inner trunk liner panel on both sides until all clips are fully seated.

Using ISTA or a compatible coding tool, code the taillight modules to clear error messages and enable sequential indicator functionality.
