Open trunk lid. Locate interior trim panel on each side of the trunk. Use a trim removal tool to carefully unclip and remove the panel without cracking clips.

Press the retention tab on the OEM harness connector and pull straight back to disconnect. Set aside for reconnection to new unit.

03

Using a 10mm socket, remove the three mounting nuts behind the trim panel. Slide the OEM taillight rearward out of the body opening.

04

Slide the new GTS OLED taillight into the body opening. Align mounting studs with holes and hand-tighten 10mm nuts. Do not overtighten.

05

Connect OEM harness plug to the new taillight connector. Press until you hear/feel the clip engage.

06

Before replacing trim panel, test all light functions: brake, reverse, sequential turn signal. Confirm all operate correctly.

07

Snap trunk trim panel back into place. Connect via BimmerCode or ISTA and code taillights for error-free OLED operation. This step prevents check control messages.
