Wipe the mirror housing with a clean microfiber cloth to remove dust, dirt, or wax residue before removing the OEM cap.

Using a plastic trim pry tool or firm hand pressure, gently release the clips securing the factory mirror cap to the housing.

Pull the OEM mirror cap away from the housing. Set it aside — it can be reinstalled at any time.

Before committing, hold the Bimmer Plug carbon cap over the housing to confirm alignment and verify chassis-specific fitment.

Press the carbon cap firmly onto the OEM mounting clips. Apply even pressure until all clips engage and the cap is fully seated.

Check for flush fitment across all edges. There should be zero gap between the carbon cap and mirror housing at any point.

Repeat all steps for the second mirror cap. Both caps should match in alignment and seating depth.

Step back and inspect both caps from the front, rear, and side angles to confirm symmetry, alignment, and clean fitment.
