Disconnect the negative battery terminal before beginning any electrical work to protect vehicle electronics.

Use panel pry tools to remove the dashboard surround around the factory iDrive display. Pry slowly — F-chassis retention clips are firm.

03

Remove T20 Torx fasteners from the NBT display bracket. Slide the unit forward and disconnect all OEM harness connectors from the rear.

04

Plug the OEM-matched harness connectors from the new Bimmer Plug unit into the vehicle harness. Confirm each connector clicks fully.

05

Seat the new display into the factory bracket, reinstall Torx fasteners, and press all trim panels back until clips engage.

06

Reconnect battery, power on vehicle, and use BMW coding software (E-sys or BimmerCode) to register the new head unit and enable CarPlay/Android Auto.
