Installation Protocol

Step-by-step procedure

Wipe the mirror housing with an isopropyl alcohol cloth. Allow 30 seconds to evaporate before proceeding.

Locate the retention tab at the base of the mirror cap. Insert a plastic trim pry tool and gently release the clip — do not use metal tools.

Pull the factory cap away from the mirror housing. Set aside — it can be reinstalled at any time.

Hold the carbon cap over the mirror housing. Start alignment at the leading edge and confirm all retention points are positioned over their corresponding tabs.

Press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the carbon cap until all retention clips engage. You will hear a click at each clip point.

06

Run your finger along all edges to confirm flush, gap-free fitment. Apply additional pressure to any edge that feels slightly proud.

07

Repeat Steps 2–6 on the second mirror cap. Total installation time: 20–30 minutes.
