Installation Protocol

Step-by-step procedure

Fold your BMW's mirror inward to create clearance and expose the rear edge of the mirror cap for removal.

Insert a plastic trim removal tool at the rear edge of the OEM mirror cap. Gently work around the perimeter, releasing each clip point without cracking the housing.

Once all clips are released, lift the OEM cap free. Store it safely this installation is fully reversible.

Hold the Bimmer Plug carbon fiber cap over the mirror housing. Start at the rear clip point and align all mounting tabs with the factory clip locations.

Press firmly along all edges until each clip seats fully. You should hear a click at each clip point. Do not force if resistance is felt, recheck alignment.

Repeat steps 1-5 for the other mirror cap.

Unfold both mirrors and inspect from the front, side, and rear of the vehicle. The caps should sit flush with zero gaps at any edge.
