Wash and dry the mirror housing area. Wipe down with an isopropyl alcohol prep wipe and allow 30 seconds to dry completely.

Use a hair dryer or heat gun on low setting to warm the factory mirror cap for 30-60 seconds. This softens the plastic clips and makes removal easier without cracking.

Using a plastic trim removal tool or your fingers, carefully unclip the OEM mirror cap starting at one edge. Work progressively around the perimeter until all factory clips release.

Hold the Bimmer Plug carbon fiber cap over the mirror housing without snapping it in. Confirm correct orientation and alignment with all clip points.

Press the carbon fiber cap firmly into position beginning at one end. Work progressively toward the opposite end, pressing each clip point until you hear or feel it engage.

Apply firm, even pressure across the entire cap surface to confirm all clips are fully seated. Inspect all edges for flush fitment with no visible gaps.
